Literature Text

It's three in the afternoon.
I was at the corner of the room
Waiting for the sight of the moon
that would ease my gloom.

It's been weeks now, I assume
since the last time we talk.
I still smell your sweet perfume
that you wore when you left our block.

That night I remember
the time you had enough
of me being acting somber
while treating you so tough.

You packed your things
and telling me you'll leave
I snatched your things
But you started to grieve...

You rumbled about sleepless evenings
when we fight 'til morning
stopping you to leave
to the dream that you wanted so badly

I tried to stop you
but I couldn't bear the sight
the fruit of things that I do
Marked in your tears, our fight

And I recalled you said to me
"please, do even love me?"
I wanted to say I do
But I know it wouldn't do

Then tears began to fall
your eyes pierced my soul
You marched down the hall
And went out, ignored my call

And now I'm left with somber
And thoughts began to wonder
In our strained love I ponder
Thinking of you go yonder
